Summary from the AllSides News Team
In recent weeks, Tucker Carlson (Right bias) has made headlines for his contentious interview with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), split with President Trump on the bombing of Iran, and criticisms of Jeffrey Epstein and Israel.
NBC Interview: NBC News (Lean Left) interviewed Carlson and penned an analysis that highlighted his break from Trump and Republicans in recent times. NBC included quotes from Carlson, Trump, administration officials and allies, and media figures such as Steve Bannon. Overall, NBC and its sources framed Carlson as someone vocally opposing Trump on certain matters but not explicitly against him. A “source close to the White House” said, “Agree with him or disagree with him, Tucker is at least coming from a sincere place of love and concern for the president. He just wants the president to be successful.” A Republican Senate aide said Carlson is “more of a dissident figure now.”
Turning Point USA: Carlson made many headlines for his appearance at the Turning Point USA (Right) Summit over the weekend. Carlson criticized Jeffrey Epstein: “It’s extremely obvious to anyone who watches that this guy had direct connections to a foreign government. No one’s allowed to say that that foreign government is Israel, because we have been somehow cowed into thinking that’s naughty.” He also said, “There are a lot of Americans who’ve served in the IDF — they should lose their citizenship. You can’t fight for another country and remain an American, period.”
Crossover Appeal: On Sunday, The New York Post (Lean Right) highlighted left-wingers who have warmed to Carlson recently. David Sirota, a former adviser to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and editor-in-chief of The Lever, said Tucker was “correct” when he said GDP is “not relevant” for gauging economic health and suggested a better test is whether young people could “afford houses with full-time jobs at, like, 27.”

As President Donald Trump weighed U.S. involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran last month, some influential members of his online MAGA army began to question what he was doing.
But few were prominent enough to face a direct response from the president.
“Somebody please explain to kooky Tucker Carlson that, ‘IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!’” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
Conservative pundit Tucker Carlson insinuated that Jeffrey Epstein was working for Israeli intelligence services in a Friday address at a Turning Point USA event.
“It’s extremely obvious to anyone who watches that this guy had direct connections to a foreign government. No one’s allowed to say that that foreign government is Israel, because we have been somehow cowed into thinking that’s naughty,” he said at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida.
He then went on to assert his claim, adding that: “There’s nothing antisemitic about saying that. There’s nothing...
Right-wing firebrand Tucker Carlson has drawn rare acclaim from progressives for accusing GOPers of pursuing empty, symbolic victories rather than tackling the most challenging US issues.
Carlson on Friday delivered a populist takedown of the economic troubles plaguing everyday Americans and faulted the GOP for failing to deliver on its promises to improve conditions.
“I hate the tranny stuff passionately. I think you should keep the boys off girls’ soccer teams. But I don’t know. It kind of sounds like you’re feeding me appetizers,” Carlson said at the Turning Point USA...
