Biden's Budget Pick Met With Resistance From Senate Republicans

Projected 2020 presidential election winner Joe Biden's pick for head of the White House budget office, Neera Tanden, was met with resistance from Senate Republicans following Biden's announcement of his economic team on Monday. Some Republican lawmakers suggested that Tanden's nomination will not pass the GOP-controlled Senate. Tanden has frequently clashed with Republican lawmakers on Twitter, though she has since appeared to delete many of her tweets, and has also purportedly sparred with progressive Democrats in the past. She's currently the president of the left-rated Center for American Progress think tank and former policy director for the first Obama-Biden campaign.
