Trump 'Willing to Sign' $1.3 Trillion Relief Bill; Democrats Hold Out for $2.2 Trillion

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said Friday that President Donald Trump was willing to sign a coronavirus relief bill totaling $1.3 trillion. Meadows' remarks come after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that economic stimulus talks are stalled after a roughly 25-minute phone conversation with Meadows. Meadows said that the while the $1.3 trillion package was over the $1.1 trillion package that Senate Republicans had proposed, Pelosi stood firm on House Democrats' proposed $2.2 trillion. However, Pelosi's umber is a decrease from the $2.4 trillion offered earlier this month. In May, House Democrats approved a $3.4 trillion relief bill. Negotiations on the fifth package began in July, when Senate Republicans proposed a $1.1 trillion. There are currently no details as to how the money would be distributed among Americans.
