Biden, Pence to Publicly Receive Coronavirus Vaccine

President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President Mike Pence are set to publicly receive the COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine soon. According to the White House, the vice president and Second Lady Karen Pence, along with Surgeon General Jerome Adams, will receive the vaccine on Friday to "build confidence among the American people.” CNN reported that Biden, who said he would follow the recommendations of Dr. Anthony Fauci, may take the vaccine next week. "When I do it, I'll do it publicly, so you can all witness my getting it done," Biden told reporters Wednesday. Former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton have also expressed their willingness to publicly receive a vaccine. President Donald Trump, according to a CNN report, won't get the vaccine until its recommended by the White House medical team. This comes after the Food and Drug Administration approved Pfizer and BioNTech's vaccine for emergency use authorization last week.
