Lindsay Clancy mistrial: Lawyer says 11 favored acquittal

The judge in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, the Duxbury woman charged with murder in the killings of her three young children in 2023, declared a mistrial after jurors said they remained deadlocked after days of deliberations and a failed emergency appeal to the state's highest court.

The declaration came after a last-minute effort by defense attorney Kevin Reddington to have a justice on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court delay the mistrial ruling, so that Reddington could continue to seek the removal of a lone juror who appeared to be blocking a verdict.
