A pair of surveys released this week shows most Americans are using artificial intelligence to save time on work and routine tasks, but still mistrust it and expect the technology to have negative impacts.

The Census Bureau reported that a March survey of 136,000 households found that 55% of workers reported using artificial intelligence on the job for at least one of 11 tasks. The top three were searching for information or technical help; writing communications, documentation or instructions; and generating ideas.
