Former NBA center Enes Kanter Freedom has declared for the 2027 WNBA Draft. Freedom played 11 seasons in the NBA before he was waived by the Houston Rockets in February 2022.

Freedom is listed as 6 feet 10 inches and 250 pounds on his NBA player profile. His desire to play in the WNBA follows controversy amongst some players, several of whom have said they would welcome transgender athletes to be part of a WNBA team.
