'America Reads the Bible' kicks off in DC as hundreds gather on red carpet for weeklong event

Nearly 500 participants are set to read the Bible aloud from Genesis to Revelation over seven days

The event runs April 18–25 at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.

Daily readings are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., following an opening celebration Saturday night
