Senate Republicans are battling among themselves over the size and scope of a budget reconciliation bill that some GOP lawmakers argue is the "last chance" to enact President Trump's legislative agenda before Democrats win back the House and possibly the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) has told colleagues that he wants to keep the budget reconciliation package, which can pass the Senate without facing a Democratic filibuster, narrowly focused on funding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol.
