Republican Clayton Fuller Wins Marjorie Taylor Greene's Georgia Seat in Runoff

Republican Clayton Fuller won the special election for Georgia's 14th Congressional District, formerly held by Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Associated Press projected late Tuesday, but Democrats were on track to have a stronger showing than in past contests.
Fuller, a former prosecutor and Air Force veteran, defeated Democrat Shawn Harris in a runoff to fill Greene's vacated seat. His victory ensures that the seat in a deeply conservative district remains in Republican hands as the party seeks to maintain its narrow majority in the House of Representatives.
With almost all of the votes counted, Fuller had 56% to 44% for Harris, the AP said. Greene handily won re-election in 2024 by about 29 percentage points and President Trump won the district by about 37 percentage points the same year.
