Starbucks Corp. stock outperforms competitors on strong trading day

Shares of Starbucks Corp. SBUX advanced 4.33% to $95.39 Wednesday, on what proved to be an all-around dismal trading session for the stock market, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA remaining mostly unchanged at 42,865.77 and the S&P 500 Index SPX falling 0.27% to 6,022.24.

This was the stock's fourth consecutive day of gains.
