Russian legislator warns of WWIII over Biden’s decision to use US missiles in Ukraine
A representative from Russia’s State Duma warned the United States risked a provocation to World War III if it agreed to permit Ukraine to use weapons made in the U.S. that have the capabilities to strike Russia further inland.
Maria Butina, a representative in the Duma, made the statement to Reuters after rumors circulated that President Joe Biden approved the use of Army Tactical Missile System missiles. These missiles can travel 190 miles and could strike key Russian airfields and other crucial military targets. Previously, Biden was reportedly against using ATACMS due to concerns over escalation.
