With Oregon voter turnout dragging as of Monday, election offices could see flood of last day ballots — or historically low turnout

Oregon elections offices would need to receive a massive influx of 700,000 or more ballots Tuesday and afterward to reach the turnout levels seen in the past two presidential elections. By close of business Monday, county elections offices reported receiving ballots from just 55% of Oregon’s nearly 3.1 million registered voters, according to Oregon Elections Division data.
