A photo of an Indiana police commander has been miscaptioned online as showing former U.S. President Donald Trump’s supposed probation officer.

The social media posts refer to Trump’s May 30 historic conviction on criminal charges by a New York jury where he was found guilty of falsifying business records. Trump is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11 and has vowed to appeal the conviction.

A June 2 post on Threads, opens new tab shared a photo of a police officer with the text, “Meet: Rohondra Williams Trumps Probation Officer.” A uniform badge indicating the Indianapolis Metropolitan police (IMPD) is seen in the lower right of the photo.
