Wells Fargo sets stage for 1,000 new jobs in Roanoke County

Wells Fargo & Co. announced an agreement Tuesday that calls for hiring of at least 1,000 employees at an average annual wage of $52,000 to expand its customer service hub in Roanoke County. The office center on Plantation Road will undergo modernization at a cost of $87 million, the company said in a joint announcement with government officials Tuesday.
