Biden reportedly nominated daughter of political ally Clyburn to post

He promised he wouldn’t give his family jobs in his administration — but President Biden never said anything about his friends’ families.

President Biden nominated the daughter of Rep. Jim Clyburn to a federal commission, adding to his string ​of hiring family members of administration officials or political allies, according to a report on Thursday. 

The president nominated Jennifer Clyburn Reed as the chair of the Southeast Crescent Regional Commission​ that was created in 2008 to “address economic distress” in the southeast US but has remained inactive since, Fox News reported. ​
