'People are mad': Trump's border slowdown has El Paso on edge

EL PASO, Texas — Edgar Salazar, a dental surgeon in Ciudad Juarez, across the border in Mexico, stood a few feet from slow-moving traffic on a bridge fretting about the U.S. clients who’ve stopped coming to his practice amid what the Trump administration has called a border “crisis.”

Clients are postponing appointments or have stopped coming altogether to avoid the traffic backups on the bridges that connect El Paso and Ciudad Juarez. Some fear they’ll get stuck on the Mexican side of the border, he said.
