LDS Church files 'friend of the court' brief in U.S. Supreme Court same-sex marriage case

America is now just two weeks away from the start of the U.S. Supreme Court case dealing with same sex marriage. Because of that many organizations are asking their voices to be heard on the issue. One of them is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It recently filed legal paperwork with court to hear its opinion.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is now adding its name to a long list of people, states and groups petitioning the U.S. Supreme Court to consider their views on same sex marriage. Right now court justices are preparing to hear a case out of Ohio which asks whether or not the 14th Amendment requires states to recognize gay marriage. That's what the LDS church is fighting.
