Trump Admin Ends Medicaid, CHIP Funding For 'Trans' Child Mutilation Procedures

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced Tuesday that it is stopping all U.S. taxpayer funding of child genital mutilation surgeries and cross-sex hormones.

CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz announced that Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) will cease all funding for the "sex-rejecting procedures on children, which include puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical operations." CMS stated that these dangerous procedures "can result in irreversible damage, including infertility, impaired sexual function, diminished bone density, altered brain development, and other lasting physiological effects."
