An AllSides analysis of Yahoo! News in June 2025 found that it displayed more outlets with a AllSides Media Bias Rating™ on the left and center than on the right. The results of the June 2025 AllSides Yahoo! News Analysis were fairly consistent with AllSides’ 2022 analysis of Yahoo! News.
Overall, 53% were from outlets on the left (19% Left, 34% Lean Left), 33% from Center-rated outlets, and 2% from outlets on the right (0% Right, 2% Lean Right).
Based on the bias distribution, AllSides kept Yahoo! News rated Lean Left.

Of the 140 total articles analyzed, the source that appeared the most was Reuters (Center bias), which appeared 14% of the time. It is followed up by four sources on the left: Associated Press (Left bias), USA Today (Lean Left bias), CBS News (Lean Left bias), and CNN (Lean Left bias).

Most News Aggregators Show Bias
Yahoo! News falls in line with most other news aggregators, majority of which lean left.

The AllSides News Aggregator Bias Chart™ reveals the media bias of popular news aggregators, such as Google News, Bing News, Apple News, Drudge Report, and more. Most news aggregators curate primarily from media outlets with an AllSides Media Bias Rating of Lean Left or Left, and most curate less than 10% of articles from news outlets rated Lean Right or Right.
Some findings from AllSides news aggregator audits::
- Google News curates 63% of articles from media outlets AllSides rates on the left, 16% from the center, and 6% from the right. AllSides data analysis over time shows the same Lean Left trend, a 2023 report found.
- Apple News curates 53% of articles from media outlets on the left, 25% from the Center, and just 1% from the right, a 2023 report found.
- Drudge Report curates 49% of articles from sources on the left, 10% from the right, and 26% from the center. While Drudge Report curates mostly from outlets on the left, it alters headlines and chooses stories appealing to the right, so AllSides has rated Drudge Center, (+0.93), close to Lean Right, a 2023 report found.
