MSNBC Shows Partial Clips of "Salute to America" Event in D.C.
Summary from the AllSides News Team
MSNBC chose not to broadcast live coverage of the "Salute to America" event planned by President Donald Trump in Washington D.C. on Thursday.
A spokesperson for the network told Politico it would not show the Fourth of July-themed event live, and instead would decide in real time what clips of the event to feature during scheduled programming. The network did publish a digital recap of the event, and also linked to live NBC News coverage of the event on Twitter.
Few right-leaning media outlets and very few left-leaning outlets reported on this after the Politico story. Most other major television networks, regardless of ideology, featured partial or full coverage of the event.
