Summary from the AllSides News Team
Vice President Kamala Harris gave her closing argument to voters Tuesday night at the Ellipse.
From the Left: Politifact (Lean Left) said Harris' comments about former President Trump's views on abortion were misleading, as Trump has consistently said abortion should be left up to the states. Harris cited Project 2025, which Trump has repeatedly said is not his plan; Trump's plan is Agenda 47. It also fact checked Harris' comments on Trump's plan for Medicare and Social Security, the Affordable Care Act, and tariffs.
From the Right: The Daily Signal (Right bias) also fact checked Harris on her abortion comments. Additionally, it fact checked her claims on Trump's position on immigration, January 6th, and the economy. The Daily Signal said that characterizing January 6th as an "armed mob" has been disputed and that her characterization of high prices as a result of "price gouging" goes against many economist's opinions.
Key Differences: While the Daily Signal disagreed with Harris' framing of the January 6th riot, Politifact said Harris was correct on the issue, noting that 140 police officers were injured, as Harris said, and that Trump has said he would free the "January 6 Hostages" as one of his first acts. Politifact and the Daily Signal also differed in their coverage of "the enemy within" comments. While Politifact cited the times Trump has commented on "the enemy within", the Daily Signal highlighted times when Harris has purportedly taken action against those who disagree with her, saying the claim Harris will listen to those who disagree with her is false.

Harris spoke at the site where Trump delivered his "Save America" rally ahead of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. During the Oct. 29 speech, Harris said Trump...
