A controversial sports gambling advert featuring Sydney Sweeney has sparked a backlash among female athletes for sexualising women in sports.
The American actress, 29, is an equity holder and strategic partner in Novig, a federally regulated U.S. prediction market that lets users trade contracts on sporting outcomes. Its "Just Sports" campaign shows an otherwise naked Sweeney covering herself with American footballs, basketballs and hockey pads while pitching Novig as a sports-only alternative to markets that also offer contracts on politics, wars and death.
