The U.S. Department of Justice said Wednesday it determined UC Davis School of Medicine discriminated based on race in its admissions process. The DOJ said it found, as part of a six-month investigation, evidence to support the school had lowered its standards to admit more Black students.
The school disagreed with the findings about its "rigorous, individualized and merit-based" admissions process. It said it remains committed to complying with federal and state antidiscrimination laws...
