Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) in Houston will open a "Detransition Clinic" as part of a settlement it reached with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) over its staff performing medical "transition" procedures on children, even after child gender modification was banned in Texas.
The OAG's press statement described it as the "country's first-ever Detransition Clinic," where restorative care will be provided to reverse the damage done to "transitioners." For the first five years of its operations, all services provided through the Detransition Clinic will be free of charge to its patients.
