An American journalist was kidnapped in Iraq, the country's Interior Ministry said Tuesday, adding that it is pursuing operations to track down the perpetrators and secure her release.
Shelly Kittleson, a U.S. citizen, was identified as the kidnapped journalist by an American point of contact and her former employer, the Middle East news site Al-Monitor.
