Israel Says It Killed IRGC Navy Commander Responsible for Blocking Strait
Israel said it killed the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard navy, who was "directly responsible" for mining and blocking the Strait of Hormuz, in overnight strikes.
Meanwhile, Pakistan said the U.S. and Iran were engaged in indirect talks through messages it was relaying, and that Tehran was considering Washington's proposals to end the conflict.
In a post on social media, President Trump said Iran's leadership "better get serious soon" about talks. Trump, who has told associates that he wants the war brought to an end in the coming weeks, also said public statements from Iran's leaders were different from their private comments.
