A 60-year-old Honolulu man who was convicted last fall of attempting to assassinate President Trump in 2024 was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison.
Prosecutors said Ryan Routh plotted to kill Trump at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., in September 2024 when Trump was running for president.
