Federal agents took into custody a man—who said he worked as an interpreter for the U.S. Army in Afghanistan—at his asylum hearing in California last week.

The arrest at an immigration court in San Diego on Thursday was caught on video, with Sayed Naser heard calmly telling the masked agents detaining him that he worked as an interpreter in his home country.

Newsweek reached out to Naser's attorney for comment via contact form Wednesday morning.
