HHS to require placebo trials for new vaccines, sparking policy shift under Kennedy

The Department of Health and Human Services, under the direction of Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., plans to require all new vaccines to be tested in placebo-controlled trials before they are licensed for public use.

β€œUnder Secretary Kennedy’s leadership, all new vaccines will undergo safety testing in placebo-controlled trials prior to licensure β€” a radical departure from past practices,” an HHS spokesperson told The Washington Post in a statement.
