Police are investigating after a large Hanukkah menorah was reportedly damaged outside a Gig Harbor shopping mall, officials said. The display menorah, at Uptown Gig Harbor, an outdoor shopping center, had light bulbs broken and electrical wiring tampered with, Gig Harbor police said. Police, who are investigating the damage as a possible hate crime, think the incident occurred Dec. 24 or 25, shortly after the menorah was installed, said Lt.
