A 71-year-old Oklahoma man who spent more than 48 years behind bars has now been exonerated, making him the longest-serving inmate to be declared innocent in U.S. history. Glynn Simmons, who until recently was in prison on murder charges, was released after prosecutors confirmed key evidence in his case had not been turned over to his defense lawyers. A police report also showed eye witnesses may have identified other suspects.
