Dozens of unionized workers at three Starbucks stores in Denton went on strike Thursday to demand better working conditions and the negotiation of a nationwide Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). On Red Cup Day, one of the chain’s busiest days because of the reusable holiday cup giveaway, workers at stores located in Rayzor Ranch, at University Drive and Hinckle, and in Bartonville went on strike for one day and picketed outside the first two stores, then marched 1 mile down University Drive in downtown Denton.
