Donald Trump will face a federal jury in the nation’s capital in his election-interference case on March 4, 2024, a federal judge determined on Monday.

A March 4 trial date lands smack in the middle of the 2024 GOP primary calendar, including a day before what's widely known as Super Tuesday when 14 states vote including Colorado, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia.

Special Counsel Jack Smith's team has recommended the trial begin on Jan. 2, 2024, and Trump’s attorneys John Lauro and Todd Blanche have requested an April 2026 trial date.
