The Incredible Lightness of the Mainstream Media

It must be nice to be a member of the Mainstream Media (or MSM.)

Most other Americans roll out of bed and have to cook breakfast, get kids off to school, then get in their cars and navigate clogged highways—frequently dodging vehicles driven by illegals with no driver’s licenses or insurance, swerving wildly between lanes—all before getting to their jobs. Whether as an accountant or a doctor or lathe operator, they go out to perform tasks that require skill and much effort for about eight hours before making the return trip home while dodging more dangerous numbskulls on the Interstate. 

MSM members like Kristen Welker or Jake Tapper probably face no such challenges. They likely wake up in a great mood, knowing they have only one item on their To Do lists: “How can I smear President Donald J. Trump today?” 

This past weekend was Exhibit A.  Hysterical reports on MSNBC, CNN, plus in the moribund New York Times and Washington Post all highlighted the frightened “citizens” (code: illegals) and officials of Chicago and Boston trembling as they prepared for troops being sent their way by the White House to quell crime.
