Trump Disputes Report of Proposed Sanctions Relief for Iran

Axios (Lean Left bias) released a story Monday claiming President Donald Trump offered Iran economic relief for concrete nuclear concessions, a story the president said was "untrue."

"Hoax": Trump on Truth Social said "Axios just released a story that 'Trump' offered Sanctions Relief and Frozen Funds to Iran. This is untrue. I offered them NOTHING! Axios' story, like most others, is a HOAX, used only for purposes of satisfying their Trump Derangement Syndrome. They should withdraw this fake story, IMMEDIATELY!"  

"Trump Is Willing": The Axios report, citing unnamed US officials, said that "Trump is willing to give Iran sanctions relief and release Iranian frozen funds in return for concrete Iranian steps regarding the nuclear program." Axios, while mentioning that Trump said the reports were "untrue," added that "the offer provides a glimmer of hope for a diplomatic breakthrough after Trump rejected Iran's most recent offer."

"Fake" Axios Story: The Washington Examiner (Lean Right) highlighted the post by Trump, saying he "took to Truth Social to slam what he called a 'fake' Axios story." The article also mentioned that his post "railing" against Axios "comes as his latest sparring with White House media, following his ban on Politico, MS Now, and CNN from the White House last week."

"Trump Denies": Reuters (Center) highlighted that the Axios report did not identify the US officials providing the information.
