Anti-ICE Demonstrators Chase and Allegedly Assault Right Wing Activist in Minnesota

On Saturday, anti-ICE demonstrators chased and allegedly assaulted a right-wing activist in Minnesota. 

The Details: Jake Lang, who some outlets have described as an "anti-Islam activist," was allegedly attacked by anti-ICE demonstrators when he was in Minnesota for his "March Against Minnesota Fraud" event. Lang said he planned to burn a Quran on the steps of the Minneapolis City Hall as part of his demonstration. The George Soros-backed People's Action Coalition Against Trump organized a counter-protest to take place at the same time as Lang's event.

Key Quote: At the protest, Lang said, "You're being replaced! Do you not understand you're being replaced! We deserve a future for white Americans." Later, on X, Lang posted, "I just got stabbed by a crazie white commie leftist rioter today in Minnesota."

For Context: On Saturday, Land wore a vest with patches that read "Infidel" and "47"—a reference to Trump. He also used a microphone to shout "Send the Somalis back" and "Go home, Muslims." No official reports of Lang's reported injury or assault have been filed with the Minneapolis Police Department. 

Lang had organized the march to protest the alleged fraud within the state's social services system. Those charged have largely been of Somali descent. Lang had been pardoned from his criminal activities on January 6 by President Donald Trump after spending several years in jail. Tensions remain high in Minnesota as Trump stated he might invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807 to quell demonstrations.

How the Media Covered It: Reuters (Center bias) called the alleged attackers "anti-ICE demonstrators," while Fox News (Right) called them "agitators." The Post Millennial (Right) showed an image of Lang with blood running down his head. The Independent (Lean Left) wrote in its headline that Lang, described as a "Pardoned Jan 6 rioter," was "chased" from the protest. CNN (Lean Left) also wrote that Lang was "chased away" rather than assaulted in its headline and noted that no police reports had been filed.
