2nd Anonymous IRS Agent Raises Concerns About Hunter Biden Probe

A second unnamed IRS agent who worked on the agency’s investigation into Hunter Biden is raising concerns regarding the handling of the probe into potential tax fraud committed by Hunter Biden. 

Key Quotes: The New York Post published quotes from an email the agent sent to senior IRS officials last week, in which he wrote, “For the last couple years, my [supervisor] and I have tried to gain the attention of our senior leadership about certain issues prevalent regarding the investigation. I have asked for countless … meetings with our chief and deputy chief, often to be left out on an island and not heard from.” The agent says in the email he was removed from the investigation for voicing concerns that the Justice Department was “acting inappropriately,” writing, “to ultimately be removed for always trying to do the right thing, is unacceptable in my opinion.”

For Context: The House Oversight and Accountability Committee is also conducting an investigation into the Biden family’s finances. Led by Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the committee is looking into allegations of corruption surrounding Hunter Biden’s former stint on the board of a Ukrainian energy company while his father, now-President Joe Biden, was serving as vice president.
