Budapest Parliament Passes 17th Amendment to the Constitution, Removing Legally Elected President

The Hungarian parliament on Monday, July 13th adopted the 17th amendment to the Basic Law (Hungary's constitution) with 139 votes in favor and 6 against.

As we reported, the amendment was proposed by PM Péter Magyar as part of what he dubbed Operation Purgatory Fire.
