Regarding the July 25 front-page article “Defiant Netanyahu thunders at war’s critics”:
Please do not take anything Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in his address to Congress as representing what most of the citizens of Israel think. Polls over the past half-year have shown that he and his governing coalition do not have the support of most of the voters in the country. A prime minister who spends most of his time placating his government partners rather than focusing on the general good of the country has no moral standing to make life-and-death decisions for us or to undermine our relationships with our allies.
