Home sellers get bad news about buyers in height of season

Demand from homebuyers dropped for the week ending May 12 in what was the lowest level in two months during a period that tends to be the busiest for the housing market, according to the real estate platform Redfin. Redfin's Homebuyer Demand Index, which tracks interest based on home tour requests and home purchasing services from the firm's agents, declined 13 percent in the period.
