Closed since last August for slope stabilization and infrastructure improvements, Iao Valley State Monument on Maui will finally reopen to visitors on May 1st. New rules and regulations will be in place, however. Most notably, non-residents visiting Hawaii will now need a reservation to visit, and exploration of the park will be limited to time slots.
