Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told MSNBC's Jen Psaki on Sunday morning that holding media companies accountable for "incitement of violence," like with regard to January 6, 2021, for example, is something that Congress should "explore through law."
"Very often, I believe that we leave it to the courts to solve issues that politics is really supposed to solve, that legislating is supposed to solve," she said about the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit against FOX News.
"When it comes to broadcast television, like FOX News, these are subject to federal law and regulation in terms of what's allowed on air and what isn't," she said. "And when you look at what Tucker Carlson and some of these other folks on Fox do, it is very, very clearly incitement of violence."
