Planned Parenthood won an injunction Monday against the law blocking its Medicaid funding under the budget reconciliation act, arguing that the provision violates the U.S. Constitution by singling out the nation’s largest abortion provider.
Judge Indira Talwani, an Obama appointee, issued a temporary restraining order against the law and directed the Department of Health and Human Services to “take all steps necessary to ensure that Medicaid funding continues to be disbursed” to Planned Parenthood.
