Politico’s AllSides Media Bias Rating™ was rated as Center in our May 2022 Blind Bias Survey. The rating, which differed from AllSides' rating of Lean Left for Politico, triggered an Editorial Review. AllSides opted to keep Politico's rating as Lean Left.

Compared to Blind Bias Surveys, Editorial Reviews allow an expert panel to see much more content from the outlet taken over a longer period of time. The AllSides team detected types of bias in Politico including word choice bias, story choice bias, analysis presented as fact, and some slant, and determined Lean Left is still the best rating.
