Ukraine Hits Moscow Oil Refinery and Apartment Building in Largest Drone Strike Yet

Ukraine launched over 1,000 drones at Russia on Sunday, hitting a key oil refinery and a residential building.

The Details: As of late Sunday night local time, three were killed and 20 injured, according to the Governor of Moscow Oblast, Andrey Vorobyov. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 450 drones heading for the city were shot down. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed Kyiv hit a "key" Russian oil facility and logistics site in Moscow Oblast. Reportedly, at least two of the deceased were civilians, and three children were among the wounded. Sobyanin said Kyiv launched over 1,600 drones at Russia this weekend – a strike media outlets are saying is Ukraine's largest yet. According to BBC News (Center bias), the oil facility Ukraine hit supplies Moscow Oblast with over a third of its fuel.

Earlier this month, Trump administration officials traveled to both Moscow and Kyiv to meet with each country's respective leaders regarding a potential ceasefire.
