Trump's Tulsa Rally Turnout Lower Than Expected

President Donald Trump resumed his election campaign at a rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday. Though Trump's campaign manager tweeted June 15 that the Tulsa rally had received over 1 million ticket requests, the Tulsa Fire Department reported that approximately 6,200 people scanned tickets. Many left- and center-rated outlets highlighted the rally's low attendance and focused on the claim that teens and young adults on social media spread a campaign urging others to reserve tickets to the rally without intending to show up. Some right-rated outlets focused on Trump's speech, which covered the COVID-19 outbreak, the protests, the media and socialism. Several voices from the right also highlighted the reported 10.1 million digital viewers.
