Context is missing from an online post that says a senior member of the British government failed to pay the correct amount of council tax.
Social media posts suggested John Healey, Britain's defence minister since July 2024, was to blame.
"It's astonishing: John Healey, Labour MP for Rawmarsh & Conisbrough and now Defence Secretary, has admitted he underpaid around £1,500 in council tax on his Westminster flat. According to reports, he only paid half of what he actually owed," said a November 21 post, opens new tab on Facebook.
