The arrest of gender-critical Graham Linehan is insane

Every time I think we have reached peak lunacy around the issue of “trans rights”, I am once more shocked. The news that five armed police officers were waiting at Heathrow to meet and arrest the creator of Father Ted because of three tweets has blown my mind.

Graham Linehan was taken to a cell. His belongings were taken away from him and then he was interviewed. This arrest required some planning and Linehan, in hindsight, believed he’d been flagged: when he went through passport check in Arizona he claimed he was told there was an issue with his seat, and he had to be issued with a new ticket.
