A Republican Virginia state senator ended her run for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in a letter Monday.

Amanda Chase, who calls herself "Trump in Heels," announced her withdrawal from the congressional race to represent the state's 7th District when the map disqualified her from running against Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger and instead faced her against GOP Rep. Rob Wittman in the state's 1st Congressional District.

"I will not challenge a Republican representative who is doing a good job representing the people of their district. I no longer live in the 7th Congressional District, which was represented by Democrat Abigail Spanberger," Chase said in a letter obtained by the Hill. "With that, I plan to finish my 2 years in the Senate of Virginia and discontinue my run for Congress as it is already represented by Republican Rob Wittman."

Chase had announced her run against Spanberger in November, joining an already crowded conservative race. Among those was Republican Taylor Keeney, who has also withdrawn from the race. GOP state Sen. Bryce Reeves is, however, still running.

The Virginia Supreme Court approved of the redistricting map last week. The proposed map established 11 congressional districts, 40 state senate districts, and 100 house of delegates districts.
